Greetings fellow humans! My name is Stephen, but people also call me Bob, Charles, Jim, and on occasion, “get off this planet!” Though, strictly speaking, that probably isn't a name. So anyways, I’m 21 and in college right now for Computer Networking. In my spare time I like to mess around with various CGI programs, be it 2D art in Photoshop or 3D art in Maya. I enjoy Sci-Fi shows/movies, specifically Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Doctor Who, and almost every Star Trek series...yes, I am a HUGE nerd. But I’m proud of that and won’t stop! So I also play in The Mobile Mission Band as the bassist, in addition to the Mobile Mission retreat stuff. I went through RCIA a couple of years ago and was fully initiated into the Catholic Church and the past few years have been some of the best I've had. I've learned so much and have never felt so rock solid in my faith. Feel free to talk to me if you want to know more about me or just wanna talk!

Pray as if everything depends on you (Part I)

Living in today’s world, we see so much; we hear so much. At times we may feel there isn’t much we can do about the problems in this world. With today’s methods of communication we hear about deadly disease outbreaks and natural disasters soon after, if not before they happen. When I see all this stuff, I think to myself,

Deus Vult (God wills it)

The very first time I saw this phrase, I absolutely loved it. Then I found out what it meant! These two words have so much power behind them. When Pope Urban II declared the first crusade, the people cried out, “Deus vult! “. Today, however, there are no bloody crusades (authorized by the Church) for us to rally behind. The

What? I’m a Blogger now?!

I’ll be honest right off the bat – I’ve never considered myself to be a writer. Getting thoughts down on paper, or in this case, onto a word document, has always been difficult for me. My mind runs a million miles a second and my thought processes usually don’t make much sense. In conversation, I jump from one topic, to
