What do you want to be when you grow up? I have spent a long time reflecting on that simple question. It has brought me on many journeys, from wanting to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force, to wanting to work in IT, all the way to doing ministry. If there is one thing I have learned it is that when God says move, you better move. Like any parent, He will be patient while you try to do things your own way, but eventually He always wins…and I’m glad He does. I have spent the last 5 years in full-time active ministry ranging from middle-schoolers to college and young adults. My focus and my passion lies within high school ministry. I am amazed everyday by what is being thrown at the young church and all I can say to that is BRING IT ON!!! There is nothing that we cannot stand as long as we stand with Christ and Christ’s Church. I strive to show people of all ages that our church is not outdated, but it is so on fire for truth, authenticity and for what is good and beautiful.

“And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.“ Matthew 16:18

I have played drums with Jaime Roberts and the Mobile Mission Band (and still do on occasion) for the past 5 years and have played for many events, including the Travelers Mass for Steubenville Atlanta. I have given talks addressing a multitude of topics on church teachings, including moral and family issues, drugs and alcohol, chastity and pornography. I have prepared weekend retreats and have worked with Religious Education Directors on reaching teens in relevant ways. In working with Jaime and David, we came up with the idea to start Mobile Mission Productions as a part of the Mobile Mission. We feel this is a way to use everyone’s gifts while reaching out to the rest of the world through media.

I served in the GA Army National Guard and have been working for Kennesaw State University as an Information Security Specialist while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Last bit about me: I know I use ‘I’ a lot, but know this: I AM NOTHING without the GOD I SERVE. All the accomplishments, all the praise, all the good times and bad times mean nothing if I do it for myself. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide, you never know what kind of trips you will be led on. Who knows? You could end up meeting some of the best friends you have ever had...and those friends might just ask you to drive a bus one day :)

Deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me

Being a Christian is easy. As long as you pray everyday and go to church you will never have struggles and everything will be peachy. But wait, did Christ not say in John 15:20 “Remember the word I spoke to you,* ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept

What I learned from a child

I think I’m slowly learning what Jesus meant when He said in Matthew 18 1-5: “At that time the disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not

The Greatest Miracle of All: Letting God be in Control

So…a few weeks ago I was on a retreat with my parish’s Life Teen youth group. I was asked to be the emcee for the weekend and leading up to the actual retreat I started to feel more and more pressure. You see, there is a lot of work that goes into making a retreat happen and being the emcee

The Eucharist from 35,000 Feet

Even at 35,000 feet, it’s amazing when God can reach you on a plane full of people in the most unusual place. Do you know how much faith it takes for someone to fly? You have to trust the pilot that they know what they are doing and are able to handle any problem. You have to trust the mechanics

Innocence…what does that mean to you? When we are younger we have no worries, no responsibilities. We don’t worry about the past or the future. The only worry is about “right now”. What happened? What happened to the part of us that took the world for what it was, not what we think it is or even for what know

Sitting and Thinking

It’s a cloudy day and I’m sitting, yet again, thinking about my life and the wonders and worries of my world. It seems to follow the same cycle of ups and downs and no matter what I cannot stop it. To go from understanding my faith to being completely disgusted at the fact that I even exist. For some reason, all
